Do you have questions about Images? Please email them to
us and not
only will we respond to you directly but your question might
be posted here.
Where is Images?
Images Cinema is located at 50 Spring Street in Williamstown,
MA. Directions are here.
Do you need volunteers?
Yes! We can't live without 'em! Volunteers staff our concession
stand, distribute our newsletter, help us with events, clean
the theater, fix our database, organize events and just about
anything else we can think of that someone will do! Call us
458-1039 or email Ruth
to find out more.
What films have you screened?
Get ready to scroll! Just kidding. We've exhibited The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill, Howl's Moving Castle, March of the Penguins, Junebug, Grizzly Man, A History of Violence, Good Night and Good Luck, and Pride & Prejudice...and that's just in the past few months.
Click here for a list of the films we've
played since we became a non-profit film house in 1998.
Why should I become a member?
The short answer is that your membership dollars keep us in
business. Why? Because for each film ticket purchased we must
pay anywhere from 35 - 90% back to the film distributor. BUT,
100% of your membership dollars stay at Images PLUS you get
to come to the movies for only $4. Another bonus? Your membership
is tax-deductible.
How do I submit a short film? Send it via snail mail
or email us a link to it online. We review shorts 5 minutes
or less to screen before feature films. You can mail your
short (DVD, VHS or 16mm) to Janet Curran c/o Images Cinema,
PO Box 283, Williamstown, MA 01267 or send it via email.
Why is Images a non-profit arts organization?
In 1998, Images Cinema became a non-profit arts organization
after a group from the community analyzed the business situation
and discovered it wasn't feasible to function as a for-profit
business in the day and age of the multi-plex. In order to
keep Images' single screen in Williamstown, Images was transformed
into a non-profit 501 (c) (3) which allowed us to accept donations
and membership dollars to keep our doors open.
