<div><div>Presented as part of our second edition of <b>Indigenous Peoples Film Festival</b>, focusing on films by indigenous filmmakers from the US and Canada. This edition is co-curated by Images ED Dan Hudson and Images volunteer Liz Redwing.</div><div><br></div><div>A heartwarming and life-affirming tale of family reunion, MEADOWLARKS is our Indigenous Peoples Day selection.</div><div><br></div><div>The screening will be preceded by the short documentary SEVEN GENERATIONS OF HOPE about Stockbridge-Munsee youth visiting the Homelands. Filmmaker Joe Plante will join us for a special introduction.</div><div><br></div><div>Please join us for a social hour in the lounge before the screening from 6pm-7pm, with a reception catered by Indigenous Deliciousness.</div><div><br></div></div><div>Film synopsis:</div>The film tells the story of four Cree siblings, Connie, Marianne, Gwen, and Anthony, separated as babies through Canada’s notorious Sixties Scoop, which saw indigenous children taken from their homes to be adopted by white families. Excited and curious, but also scared and afraid of rejection, they agree to meet for the first time over a holiday weekend in the mountains of Banff.DramaPT1H32M2026-10-12CAen
