<div>Screening off-site in the MainStage at the '62 Center for Theatre and Dance. Shown as part of <b>Summer of Sondheim</b>, our series celebrating musical master and Williams alum Stephen Sondheim, presented with support from the '62 Center for Theatre and Dance. Each screening will feature an introduction about the musical by a local Sondheim scholar/fan with connections to Williams College, Williamstown, and/or Images Cinema. </div><div><br></div><div><b>Merrily We Roll Along </b>will feature an introduction by Kristen Johanson, Williams alum, Sondheim superfan, and Treasurer of the Williamstown Theatre Festival Board of Directors.</div><div><br></div><div>Please note there is no food or beverage allowed in the '62 Center.</div><div><br></div>Film synopsis:<br>Franklin Shepard is a talented Broadway composer who abandons his theater career and all his friends in New York in order to produce films in Los Angeles. The story begins at the height of his Hollywood fame and moves backwards in time, showing snapshots of the most important moments in Frank’s life that shaped the man he is today.
