Project Hail Mary

<div><div>Presented as part of <b>Civic Cinema</b>, our biennial series on democracy and civic engagement. This year's films focus on journalism/freedom of the press, as well as stories of collective action. Each screening will be paired with a talk with local leaders, community organizers, and academics.</div><div><br></div><div>Our 2026 edition of this series is presented with generous support from The Ginny Fund, a grant organized by the Friends of the Milne Library.</div></div><div><br></div><div><div>Join us for a social hour before the movie in the lounge! From 6pm-7pm meet and mingle with grassroots organizers and community leaders.</div></div><div><br></div><div>Film synopsis:</div>Science teacher Ryland Grace wakes up on a spaceship light years from home with no recollection of who he is or how he got there. As his memory returns, he begins to uncover his mission: solve the riddle of the mysterious substance causing the sun to die out.
