Sharon Wyrrick: Putting Milk in the Pail

Putting Milk in the Pail: The Center for Resourceful Living An informal discussion with local filmmaker, farmer, and food activist Sharon Wyrrick about the inspiration for her film-in-progress, its process and challenges, as well as a few clips. Putting Milk in the Pail examines this adventurous program, The Center for Resourceful Living, at (then) North Adams State College in the late 1970s. The Center featured hands-on learning and academic courses aimed at exploring how to live with coming environmental challenges and limited resources. Exploring the Center’s founding and its brief existence, the film traces how those it touched went on to shape their lives in response to the experiences it provided. This program is funded in part by a grant from the NORTHERN BERKSHIRE CULTURAL COUNCIL, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.PT2H2025-06-09Sharon Wyrrick: Putting Milk in the Pail"Sharon Wyrrick: Putting Milk in the Pail"
