The Little Sister
<b> Screening off-site in the Paresky Center. </b> The Paresky Auditorium is located on the lower level of the Paresky Center, in the heart of the Williams College campus, in Williamstown, MA.
Titled “Mothers, Sisters, Daughters: Family & Diversity in New French & Francophone Film,” this year’s Williams French Film Festival features recent films from France and Belgium that focus on a diverse spectrum of women in the French-speaking world. This festival is made possible with generous funding from the Williams Class of 1960 Scholars Program, and with assistance and support from the Department of Romance Languages, and the Center for Global Languages, Literatures, and Cultures. All films are in French with English subtitles, and are free and open to the public. The films will be introduced by French Professors Sophie Saint-Just and Brian Martin.
Film synopsis:
Fatima, 17, the youngest of three daughters, treads carefully as she searches for her own path, grappling with emerging desires, her attraction to women, and her loyalty to her caring French-Algerian family.
