Time and Water

<div>As we missed our regularly scheduled festival in April, we're presenting a series of one-off screenings of environmental films with conversations throughout the year called <b>EMFF Presents</b>. This series is presented with the generous support of the Cultural Council of Northern Berkshire, with additional co-presenting support from the Zilkha Center for the Environment.<br><br></div><div>The film will feature a post-screening discussion with&nbsp;<span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Ian Nesbitt, a geophysicist and research software engineer at the National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Ian has first-hand research experience with glaciers, the communities near them, and the consequences of their loss in the US, Canada, Antarctica, and Greenland. He studied Geosciences at Williams College and Earth and Climate Science at the University of Maine. Ian resides with his wife Miranda and their two dogs in Clarksburg, MA.</span></div><div><br></div><div>Film synopsis:</div>Facing the death of his country’s glaciers and the loss of his beloved grandparents, Icelandic writer Andri Snær Magnason turns his archives into a time capsule to hold what is slipping away — family, memory, time, and water.DocumentaryPT1H33MPG2026-09-22USen
